Natural, Genuine, Un-Posed Wedding Photography - Shaun Carr - Photographer

Ask Yourself...

Do you want photographs of what your wedding was really like? Filled with personality, honesty and feeling?

Are you looking for an alternative to the traditional wedding photographer? Do you love good photography, but don't want it to take over your day?

If you'd like me to, I will photograph your day artistically, honestly and without any intervention. You'll know that I'm there - I'm not invisible - but I won't be the center of attention. You won't have to worry about the photography at all. You won't be taken away to be posed, your guests won't be shouted at and I wont make you walk through a field after dinner. All you have to do is enjoy the day and I'll worry about capturing all that joy on camera.

If you do end up walking through a field - well - that's entirely up to you. The day is yours. You've planned it, paid for it and managed to get everyone to turn up on the right day at the right time.

Enjoy it

Why weddings? Because I love to take photos of people - the human condition. The laughter, the tears, the drinking, the kisses, the hugs, the raving and the ball room dancing, the elegant and the rough, the kids and the old ladies, the embarrassing speeches and the loving glances. All of these things and more can be found at a wedding. I don't want to miss any of it and neither should you.

I first picked up a camera in earnest at 30 years old and since then I've been photographing life around me constantly. I've won awards for several photographs and been published in various wedding publications.

Recently I'm proud to say that I've been become a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association - a group of some of the best story telling photographers in the world dedicated to photographing weddings internationally.

Photography and Me.

Photography for me is a reason to be drawn into the world. Naturally reserved, I've spent years observing people from a unique position of closeness that has trained me to notice and see the world differently.

With a camera in my hand every moment and relationship is richer. Every interaction holds the possibility of a photograph and that draws me to people like it never has before and sparks a curiosity that I didn't know was there.

I can use this to show others themselves as I see them. Warm, loving, funny and everything else. Photography is a gift to me and others with every picture that I take. It's a two way street that we are both richer for travelling.

I've been learning to see for as long as I can remember. Now, if you like, I can show you.
